Reclaiming your Creative Voice with Notre Dame Kylemore Abbey: February 2026
I run intuitive painting and material exploration workshops, which introduce participants to the process of creating notebooks to record thoughts, feelings and ideas in visual form. It’s a great way to kick-start or reconnect to your creativity, finding your unique voice and expression. Sometimes words are not enough, and art can provide an alternative or additional means of creative expression and personal exploration.
These workshops are experiential and interactive with a focus on exploring creativity through painting, collage, and other art materials. Participants are encouraged to engage spontaneously with a variety of materials as they develop their own style and way of working. Words arising in response to images can become part of the creative process.
The overall aim of the workshop is to build confidence in using art materials intuitively, as an imaginative and enjoyable form of self-expression. No previous art or journaling experience is required, and you do not have to be ’good at art’ to participate.
